Full-time faculty can apply for the Leadership Academy, a premier professional development program offered to promising leaders on campus. By taking part in this hybrid, multi-session program, attendees prepare for new leadership roles and greater responsibilities at the university. During in-person sessions, attendees learn from and interact with subject matter experts on topics such as enrollment, money management, and leadership presence. Leadership Academic instills confidence that our faculty can excel in complex leadership positions as they work toward an array of professional goals.

All faculty have access to professional development opportunities, largely free of charge, that cater to their career progression as well as their skills, competencies and ambitions. Professional development classes are conveniently scheduled and held in a comfortable space on campus.
In particular, Learning and Development’s signature programs connect faculty to the resources and coursework that make a difference in their professional development, whether they are looking for their first supervisory experience or to take on more complex leadership roles on campus.
Full-time faculty can also apply for the Management Academy, a learning experience designed for mid-career employees interested in hands-on leadership training. This cohort-based certificate program teaches employees how to engage and influence their peers and direct reports while learning about multifaceted topics including money management, emotional intelligence and spearheading change.
Managers have access to a suite of live virtual and on-demand e-Learning courses that hone supervisory and leadership skills, ranging from the transition between peer and boss to the particularities of working within a hybrid workforce.
Faculty who choose to learn or revisit supervisory skills needed in a dynamic working environment can apply for the Supervisory Certificate Program. This flexible program offers both live virtual and asynchronous classes to suit every participant’s schedule.
