Faculty Success Platform FAQs

How do I login?

Temple University utilizes Single Sign-On (SSO) for Watermark Faculty Success, meaning you will log in using your standard campus TUID and password here.

Which web browsers are supported?

The platform officially supports Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari.

How do I get help if something is broken?

You can click the "?" (Help) icon in the upper-right corner of the Watermark interface. From there, you can submit a support ticket directly to the Temple TSC or Watermark support.

Do I have to enter all data manually?

No. Temple will pre-load foundational data like scheduled teaching workloads, course enrollment counts, and historical HR records. Additionally, you can utilize bulk import tools to bring in publications via bibTex files from platforms like Crossref, ORCID, or PubMed. (change wording)

What if an activity doesn't fit into a pre-defined category?

Look for the closest relevant section and utilize the "Other" or "Explanation of Other" fields. If you are confused about where a unique accomplishment belongs, contact the Faculty Affairs department or campus Faculty Success administrator.

Can I upload attachments?

Yes. The platform allows you to attach digital copies of publications, presentations, syllabi, or student evaluations directly to individual activity records where file upload fields are available; however, much of this work will be done for you.

Why do some records have a "lock" icon next to them?

A lock icon means the data was automatically imported from a core institutional system (system of truth like HR data). Faculty typically cannot edit locked fields and must contact their campus administrator if the information is incorrect.

Who can see my information?

You always have full read and write access to your own account profile. Beyond you, authorized administrators (such as your Department Chair, Dean, and internal review committees) have access to run reports on your activities for evaluations, promotion, and tenure review.

Who owns the data entered into the system?

Temple University retains 100% legal ownership of all data. Per Watermark's security compliance agreements, they are legally barred from selling, sharing, or distributing any faculty information.
